About

The Medina Spinning and Weaving Guild was founded in February of 1983 by four craftswomen. In their desire to learn more about spinning and weaving. They formed a guild with the idea of learning and sharing with other spinners and weavers in the area.

We continue the tradition today. Our meetings offer an opportunity to socialize, learn from a presentation or demonstration, and share projects. There are several workshop and study groups during the year. The Guild’s library has a collection of both out of print books and recent titles along with subscriptions to many fiber magazines.

Meetings are held September to May on the third Tuesday of the month. See Meetings page for details and a map.

If you share an interest in fibers, our meetings are open to you whether or not you own a loom or spinning wheel.

While our meetings are open to the public, there is a membership fee if you wish to be a participating member (i.e. take part in workshops and special guild events). This $25.00 per individual or $30.00 per household. Along with being a participating member you also will receive a monthly newsletter and a current directory.

Membership Form is available here.
