Shearing Day at Little Farm in the Woods
May 20, 2016, 10:00 am
8189 Friendsville Road, Seville, Ohio
Come for a fun day—Watch the alpacas being sheared. Check out the creativity on the porch where spinners, weavers and knitters are producing beautiful items. Some items may be for sale. Enjoy being on the farm. I will have pots of soup on and iced tea. There will be other food goodies to enjoy.
Directions: I-71 to rte. 224. Go west on Rte. 224 past the truck stops. At the light by Cloverleaf High School (Friendsville Road) turn right. My farm is about ¾ of a mile north on the right side. Turn right into my drive just past a sign for Kennard Road. We sit back from the road.
From Rte. 42 go south through Lafayette and up the hill. Near the top Friendsville Road angles off to the left only. Just past the second intersection you will see my address on a telephone pole on the left. It is the second drive on the left past the second intersection.

Medina Spinning & Weaving Guild is pleased to announce a workshop with Patsy Z (Zawistoski) on Spinning Flax, Hemp, Ramie, Bamboo & Tencel. Learn to dress, spin, balance, and ply these cellulose fibers to get a beautiful yarn.
Flax is a classic fiber, albeit very different than wool. It’ll easily become another joy of spinning after you learn new techniques to manage its particular characteristics. This class teaches you quick ways to dress a distaff with long-line flax, wet-spin line or roving, and scour finished yarns. While fibers are provided, you’ll bring a spinning wheel or medium-weight spindle.
March 18-19, 2017, 9AM – 4PM at Richfield Fellowship Hall, 3909 Broadview Rd. Richfield, OH 44286.
Cost $150 ($170 non-members) – materials fee TBA
Open to other guilds after Jan 30, 2017
